Downtime

My site has been unusable for two weeks. Hooray. I’m not going to go into details. Suffice it to say it wasn’t my fault and I wasn’t happy with it. Everything is back up and running now, though.

As you may have noticed, things look different. That’s because I decided to give WordPress a go after Movable Type decided to be a bitch.

Funniest Referrer Yet!

I’m still coughing in laughter over my referrer log. It’s just too funny. Go see for yourself or skip straight to the screenshot (which would be smart, as search engines aren’t static).

What puzzles me is that the word “coworker” does not appear on my site at the time of this writing. Is MSN Search really smart enough to figure out that Jesper linked to me using the word? Perhaps MSN Search doesn’t return results using all of the words, which would seem more likely to me. I have nothing to back it up, though; dear M$ may as well have done something right for once.

Thank you, stranger. You gave me a long and hard laugh at the end of a good day. And sorry about your coworker–especially if it really is me!

A New Beginning

While writing this–the very first entry of my new blog–I’m sitting in the backyard of my apartment building in uptown Oslo. The sky is blue, with translucent clouds scattered like gentle white brush strokes on a beautiful blue canvas. Enjoying the music flowing from the speakers of my recently purchased Apple iBook, I am relaxed. I couldn’t find a better spot for beginning my blog. What I have to say will be entirely left to my own discretion. Thoughts, ideas, feelings, rants. You, my dear reader, are bound to see all of them and more, as I finally let the writer come up in me. Expressing oneself is important, even if it is one-way communication. Doing so for a worldwide audience is an urge which I have been holding back on for too long. I’ll see you around.
